Support for Grief, Dying, and the People Who Love Us

Through The Heart offers support that is emotionally present, practically grounded, and respectful of what matters most to you.

Grief therapy offers a place to talk, feel, remember, question, and begin to live with what has changed. End-of-life doula support offers non-medical emotional, practical, spiritual, and family-centered care before, during, or after a death.

It’s okay to reach out before you know which kind of support fits. We can talk through what kind of care may make sense.

Online grief therapy for adults in Washington navigating loss, anticipatory grief, traumatic death, pet loss, caregiving, or the death of someone they love.

End-of-Life Doula Support

Meet Hanna Kokko

I’m Hanna Kokko, MSW, LSWAIC, a grief therapist and certified death doula.

At Through The Heart, I offer grief therapy and end-of-life doula support for people who are grieving, dying, caregiving, or preparing for the death of someone they love.

My background includes grief therapy, hospice experience, hospital and private practice work, leading grief groups, and death doula training through Going With Grace. I bring a calm, warm, trauma-informed presence to this work, with room for both the emotional and practical realities of grief, dying, and end-of-life care.

You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you’re looking for before reaching out.

A free 30-minute consultation is a chance to share what’s happening, ask questions, and talk with Hanna about what kind of support may fit.
